Kamo was our very first recipient in 2012. She was diagnosed with Tonsillitis but in fact had meningitis. She was having multiple seizures daily and as a result her right side became paralyzed. She could not swallow. We had her admitted to hospital and a feeding tube was inserted into her abdomen. She slowly started regaining strength and the tube was removed, as she was able to eat and drink on her own. It took a little while before her seizures were brought under control. Finally in March 2015 she stopped having seizures. She has been having extensive therapy three times a week and is making wonderful progress with learning to walk and talk again.
